Airfoil is the shape of a wing or blade as seen in cross-section.
Providing me with the airfoil name is the easiest way to define your wign/blade shape. I have extensive database of different airfoils, also there are numerous web sources for airfoil coordinates to chose from:
University of Illinois airfoil database
Andrew's airfoil databese
NACA 4-gigit series airfoil generator
2. DAT FILE
DAT file contains normalized X-Y coordinates for desired shape. Sample of such file is available in download section togetrher with Excel file to help you modify and visualize the shape.
3. CAD file
Any of the follwong file formats is acceptable:
AutCAD, DXF, Solid Works 2006, IGES, ProE, Parasolid, STEP or ACIS
4. BITMAP IMAGE
BMP, JPG, TIFF, GIF, PSD, PDF provided by you will be digitized to obtain coordinates.
If you have your shape in the format that is not listed above, please send me an email, I am sure that we can make it work.
